What's the GPN?
   The Green purchasing Network was established in February 1996. It consists of organizations which are committed to reduce stress on the environment by promoting green purchasing, i.e. buying the least environmentally-impacting products available.
 Objectives
To disseminate the concept of, and promote the practice of, green purchasing among central and local governments, companies and consumers.
To provide useful information about green purchasing in practice.
To provide venues for exchanges of experience and information among our members.

Drawing up "Purchasing Guidelines"for each type of product
16 guidelines have been established : Printing/copying papers, Printers/Facsimile machines, Toilet/tissue paper, Personal computers, Refrigerators, Stationery and office supplies, washing machines, Lighting apparatus/lamps, motor cars, air-conditioners, office furniture, TV sets, uniform/work wear, printing services, hotels,Toilet facilities.
