Washing Machines
Green Purchasing Network (GPN)
These guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered when purchasing household washing machines, including single-tank automatic and double-tank (semi-manual) style products.
When purchasing washing machines, the following articles shall be considered for purchasing products with as little environmental burden as possible:
1) Use a minimal amount of water
2) Equipped with an automatic water supply system that draws water from used bathtub water
3) Minimal power consumption during operation
4) The manufacturer provides full maintenance service in order to make long-term use feasible
5) Designed to facilitate component parts recycling
6) Made with a large amount of recycled material
7) Does not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium compounds, or specific bromine-based flame-retardants (PBB, PBDE), to the utmost extent possible
○ Use of PVCs
○ Use of Bio-plastic(Main body of product)
