[I] Lamps / [II] Lighting Fixtures / [III] Lighting Plans
Part I: Lamps
These guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered when purchasing incandescent light bulbs and fluorescent lights.
When purchasing incandescent light bulbs and fluorescent lights, the following articles shall be considered for purchasing products with as little environmental burden as possible:

<Applying to both incandescent light bulbs and fluorescent lights>

‚Pj High lamp efficiency (fluorescent lights of the three-band type)
‚Qj Long lasting
<Applying only to fluorescent lights>
‚Rj Use minimum mercury enclosed
‚Sj Made with thin, resource-conserving tube

<Applying to the selection of incandescent light bulbs and fluorescent lamps>

‚Tj Exchange incandescent light bulbs with fluorescent light bulbs to conserve energy, when there is no interference with the intended function, and it is compatible with the lighting device


Part‡U: Lighting Fixtures
These guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered when purchasing fluorescent lighting fixtures for industrial and household use.
When purchasing fluorescent lighting fixtures for industrial and household use, the following articles shall be considered for purchasing products with as little environmental burden as possible:

High energy-efficiency (using the inverter method, particularly the high frequency inverter method)

‚Qj

Designed to facilitate recycling of component parts


Part‡V: Lighting Plans
These guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered when drawing up lighting plans for facilities such as residences and offices.
When drawing up lighting plans for facilities such as residences and offices, the following articles shall be considered for purchasing products with as little environmental burden as possible:

Consider the appropriate brightness

‚Qj

Promote the use of natural lighting
‚Rj Utilize brightness sensors, human motion sensors, timer functions, and light adjustment functions
‚Sj Appropriately combine localized and wide-area lighting
