| Green Purchasing Network (GPN) |

| These
guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered
when purchasing automobiles. |
|
|
The scope of the guidelines includes passenger vehicles and light and mid-sized
cargo vehicles that use gasoline or gas oil as fuel, LPG vehicles,
natural gas vehicles, electrical vehicles and fuel-cell vehicles. |

| When purchasing automobiles, the following articles should be considered
to minimize the environmental burdens: |
| ‚Pj | High fuel efficiency and low carbon dioxide (CO2)
emissions | | ‚Qj | Low emissions levels of nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), carbon
monoxide (CO), and particulate matters (PM) | | ‚Rj | Reduced use of coolants for air-conditioning that have some contributory
impact on ozone layer depletion and global warming | | ‚Sj | Use of minimized levels of lead, mercury, cadmium and chromium (VI) | | ‚Tj | Reduced use of VOCs for the car interior | | ‚Uj | Designed for easy disassembly and recycling of parts after disposal | | ‚Vj | A lot of recycled materials are used | | ‚Wj | Low external noise levels |
