Green Purchasing Network (GPN)
These guidelines cover important environmental issues that should be considered when purchasing automobiles. 
The scope of the guidelines includes passenger vehicles and light and mid-sized cargo vehicles that use gasoline or gas oil as fuel, LPG vehicles, natural gas vehicles, electrical vehicles and fuel-cell vehicles.
When purchasing automobiles, the following articles should be considered to minimize the environmental burdens:
PjHigh fuel efficiency and low carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions
QjLow emissions levels of nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matters (PM)
RjReduced use of coolants for air-conditioning that have some contributory impact on ozone layer depletion and global warming
SjUse of minimized levels of lead, mercury, cadmium and chromium (VI)
TjReduced use of VOCs for the car interior
UjDesigned for easy disassembly and recycling of parts after disposal
VjA lot of recycled materials are used
WjLow external noise levels
